Jane Blair started to paint quite late in her artistic career. Coming from a design background, she found the experience hugely liberating. A move from town to country to raise her young family was the beginning of an inspiring adventure; a new creative journey. Never before was she so in tune to the vagaries of the weather; hoping for a sharp early morning frost or a wild autumn storm. She is fascinated by the ever shifting light; the fleeting glimpses of change that make the everyday remarkable. The colours and moods of the landscape (and the beasts which inhabit it) are of prime interest to her.
Her work is stimulated by the rural splendour of her surroundings.
