Scottish artist Caroline Bailey currently lives and works on the Isle of Skye, which plays a huge role in this inspiration. Her work is inspired by a love of land and sea. Although descriptive of the places she likes, Caroline’s paintings are not documentary. They are rather concerned with shape, colour and layering of textures. She hopes to express something of the feel and atmosphere that she experiences. Her paintings, once begun, determine their own direction and its own conclusion.
