Gin Durham
Working as a full time maker, Gin Durham graduated from Bucks University in 2011. She draws her inspiration from traditions of folklore and fairy stories. This is alongside a lifelong fascination with the natural world.
Gin states that her chosen medium of clay as an extension of her drawing and illustration practice, in that one informs the other. Her fingers draw and shape the clay to represent tactile forms based on anatomically correct studies. However, the expressive nature of the creative process leads to certain details and characteristics being enhanced and exaggerated. This results in work that is full of life and character.
