Lynn McGregor RSW
Lynn McGregor RSW was born in Pittenweem, and studied art at Edinburgh College of Art. She has exhibited widely in the UK and is represented in several public and corporate collections. She was elected RSW (Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour) in 2001.
Drawing on memories of the landscape as inspiration, Lynn breaks her subject geometric blocks of colour and texture. She allows herself to be informed by the paint and works intuitively, to balance all the elements in her work. Her combination of a considered tonal palette with strong forms and tactile mark-making, creates a unique approach to the Scottish landscape.
