BRIAN HENDERSON : EYE LINE
Brian Henderson’s paintings are works of wonder, from the selection of objects he chooses for each tableau to the tiny brushes that meticulously render them. Almost always painted at eye – level and from carefully set up and lit constructed models and arrangements, Brian’s paintings juxtapose traditional still life subjects with popular culture. Plastic Mickey Mouse and Tin Tin models share the space with musical instruments, crystal and glass, as Brian explores the properties of light on each surface.
November Exhibition
Alongside our Brian Henderson Exhibition this month, our mixed November Exhibition features new paintings from George Birrell, Allan MacDonald, Jane Cruickshank, Morag Muir, Blythe Scott, Davy Brown, Linda Park, Mary Davidson and more!
ALL THE BEAUTY | ANDREW THOMPSON FEATURE
A truly resplendent December group show! An Andrew Thompson Showcase features alongside an exhibition of paintings by a small group of artists whose work might be described as celebrating beauty both in nature and in art. There is more than a nod to the Far East in many of these works, from Andrew Thompson’s delicately painted Chinese vases to Peter Munro’s Japanese Cranes on ice. Hedi Munro joins the exhibition with a number of large-scale gold leaf and painted panels – usually booked up for commissions months in advance, we are delighted to finally exhibit these incredible works in the gallery.
